Finally podcasted for your listening pleasure is the premiere edition of Anything Goes with Tim Stein!
This episode relates the true story of the real Headless Horseman of South Texas. A real-life ghost story bred out of superstition, fear, and theft, Stein takes you on a macabre ride of intrigue and suspense. Who was this Horseman? Where did he come from? What happened to him? Listen now if you missed it live and all these answers and more will be answered fully!
Joining Tim Stein this week is the host of Monday Night Mayhem, The Big Mosh.
The two start talking about the past week in wrestling and preview the upcoming WWE Great American Bash pay per view until the show becomes “PlugfestAPalooza” for the Mayhem, until Spug finally shows up and helps to right the ship.
A “late” edition of Wrestle Talk Radio, this show aired approximately 90 minutes late and began with an explanation/rant for the late start.
Tim and Omega break down the week in wrestling news in the absense of both Spug and Internet Dave, and just have a bit of fun with the show. Talk of the latest pay per view and the WWE draft peppered the show in its entirety.
Just a few days after the event, Omega tells the story of his first ever anime convention. Hear about the Power Ranger who became a brutal killer (and still a hero!), what happens when two samurai take over a ballroom, and his encounter with the one and only Scott McNeil and just why a green and pink fangirl stuck a cucumber into his face.
It’s Omega’s 25th birthday and he’s heading to Tampa for his first anime convention! But so our listeners know what he’s in for, he and Spug go over the dos and donts for attending, from essential rules to words to watch for, including what a furry is and why you need to avoid them like the plague. Come listen as Otaku Talk Live celebrates Omega not dying for a quarter century!
Wow, two hours this week, there was a lot to go over. With good reason, E3, the biggest convention for video gaming, is around the corner and lots of games are to be revealed, from an RPG for Sonic the Hedgehog to a fighting game for Castlevania, but first Spug’s got a problem with the new direction of the event. Plus he reads off the “expert chosen” top 20 for Super heroes, villains, and vixens, and we are not happy with the results.
Apologies for the late archive, as I’ve been swamped this week. But hey, the main show was on time! We went over the faults of modern gaming becoming too realistic looking, and went the opposite way covering the recently announced Megaman 9 in NES style and Chrono Trigger for the Nintendo DS, plus a little bit of the next Mortal Kombat game.
Tech issues once again plague the geeks of Otaku Talk Live. While Omega hunted down his internet provider with a pitch fork, Spug took the show on himself, discussing games that promote violence just for the sake of being violent. After he’s joined by his friend, Sky, Omega returns to cover a bit of everything, from haunted houses to how to turn your Nintendo Wii into a marital aide!
So we’re still getting the bugs worked out, but we were closer to being on time and nobody’s connection dropped! Also big thanks to rocknsock for bailing us out when technology hated us.
What did go right was our discussion of movie video games. That is, why every recent movie needs tie-in games and why almost all movies based on video games are awful. We also got into The Dark Knight, including the recent changes to the movie’s toys and the original series of films, as well as our first epic clash: Deathscythe versus Kharn the Betrayer.
Disaster News Network takes over! If there’s a disaster or debacle in the world of pro wrestling, the WTR crew can cover it in ways no one dreams of! Stein, Spug, Omega, and Dave go in-depth on the WWE Joke Giveaway, Hogan’s damage control fiasco, Michael Hayes and his non-PC mouth, and then to break it up, lively talk on 2nd/3rd-gen wrestlers! Always a rollercoaster of fun and mirth! THIS IS DNN….err, WTR!
