They discussed the contract signing to start the show between championship opponents John Cena and Daniel Bryan with Brad Maddox making Bryan ‘prove himself’ this week in a main event guantlet style series where he even got a good match out of Jack Swagger and a lengthy PPV quality match with Cesaro (there was also Ryback match there, but come on, Bryan isn’t a miracle worker) We also had the evolution of the Ziggler and Big E\/AJ feud, Mark Henry getting his hands on the Shield after last week’s beadown with a little help from the Usos, they hyped but non appearances of the Big Show and Wyat Family respectively, the awesome promo by Punk\/Heyman that made us go ‘Shut up and take our money!’ and made the match official at SummerSlam of ‘The Best vs The Beast’, the next step in the McMahon drama with Maddox in the middle and the ‘segment of the night’ of MizTV with the Total Divas cast that saw the highlight of the segment being a wardrobe malfunction and the segment as a whole earning an angry rant from Lindsey.
