Spotlighting The Revolution: Wrestlemania 32

With Wrestlemania 32 on the horizon, one of the key matches on the show will be the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Divas Championship featuring Charlotte defending her championship against Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch. In most years when it comes to Divas Championship Matches or Divas Matches in general when it comes to Wrestlemania, don’t always get top priority from WWE, as there typically more high profile matches on the show and if the show runs long, WWE usually decides to pull time from the Divas Match up on the show and in some cases, for example, Wrestlemania 29 when the Mixed Tag Match Up featuring The Bella Twins teaming with Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow taking on Brodus Clay, Tensai & The Funkadactyls was pulled from the show based on time running short during the show. This year, WWE must try their best to make sure the WWE Divas Championship Match gets a chance to be spotlighted on the biggest show of shows.

With all the talk around the Divas Revolution and how up and down the concept has been, Wrestlemania 32 is the perfect place to finally put the stamp on the Divas Revolution signaling change in the division have it focusing in the importance of the WWE Divas Championship. There are a few ways to make sure the audience in the building and at home feel the importance of this match up.

Entrances

Give all three ladies a special entrance. Make sure that Charlotte, Becky Lynch & Sasha Banks each have an entrance that shows off their personalities. Give Sasha Banks the same type of treatment that they gave her during at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn in her match up with Bayley, as they built a special entrance around her character and her personality and when she came to the ring, you knew number one that this match up was important and number two, that she was a superstar. If you give all three ladies a special entrance and it doesn’t have to be a big over the top entrance, but if it is something out of the ordinary, it will make each lady stand out above the traditional divas entrance.

Timing

Make sure the ladies are given enough time to tell the story they want to tell. Don’t have the ladies rush to the ring and give a seven minute match that will be an after thought at the end of the night. Give the ladies fifteen to twenty minutes of bell to bell time to put on a match that people will be talking about the next day. Referencing back to the NXT Takeover: Brooklyn match up, people were talking about the match up for days and weeks to come, give these ladies a chance to do the same thing. I know I just reference giving girls their own special entrance, don’t let the fact that take away from the match. Earmark time in the script to give the girls a chance for their special entrance, their match and their victory.

Placement

Put the ladies in a spot on the show where they aren’t overshadowed by the other bigger matches on the show. Everyone will be focused on the three big main event matches on the male side and all of those matches will have real emotional investment behind them. Place the ladies in a position where they aren’t wedged in between those matches, put the ladies on before those particular matches, that way they don’t get treated like an after thought.

Basically to sum this all up, this is the year to make sure that there is a real change in the WWE & the WWE Divas Division. Give these ladies time and I promise you, it will be something memorable for the audience in the building and the audience at home, as Sasha Banks, Charlotte & Becky Lynch have worked hard for this chance to get a true Wrestlemania Moment.
