The Rack 01-24-13

On this week’s special Pre-Christmas edition of The Rack, host Lindsey Ward, her producer Sir Rockin and Mase on his ‘Welcome Back’ tour, discussed all the news that was the week in pro wrestling, including the demise of THQ and the sale of certain titles to Take Two Interactive, Extreme Rising trying to get it’s own wrestling show off the ground and are asking fans for help, the fact that Jeff Hardy possibly helped increase buyrates for TNA Genesis, Zack Ryder performing his song ‘Hoeski’ at the Royal Rumble Fan Fest this weekend, as well as the possibility of what will make up WWE’s new YouTube shows and other news and notes!

As with every week, The Rack is your weekly home for immediate Impact Wrestling recaps and commentary. They discussed Taz’s opening segment that set the stage for the night as well as continued the story and hyped a ‘higher power’ still yet to come, a Knockout Title match with a set-up promo by Jesse and Tara, Joseph Park issuing a challenge for Open Fight Night next week against Aces & 8’s, Bully Ray’s great promo and Sting petitioning Hogan to reinstate Bully, Anger Buddies ver. 2.0 arguing (what a shocker) and Bobby Roode ultimately facing ‘Super Mex’ Hernandez, the main event World Heavyweight Title match between champion Jeff Hardy and everyone’s favorite appletini ring general Christopher Daniels with a special appearance by Aces & 8’s and so much more!

We also had our extensive Royal Rumble preview with special call-in guest Spug, our host/listener pick’em contest for WWE’s Royal Rumble PPV, the drawing for the Royal Rumble lottery pool, plus Rack Staples: Tweet of the Week, Weekly Vent, and the question of the night: “What was your favorite Royal Rumble match moment/PPV moment”.
